I am always happy to welcome visitors to my studio by appointment, but please call 07730310087 first to arrange your visit as I tend to be out and about rather a lot.

Unit 3 Boundary Bank (Adjacent to bypass)
When approaching from Kendal town centre using a sat nav, it will try and take you to the wrong Boundary Bank. Unfortunately there are two with the same postcode. Ignore these first units (Breedon Cement works on the right and large units on the left) where sat nav will tell you to go and carry on along Underbarrow Road until just before the bridge over the bypass. Turn right here down the lane marked as "Private Road, authorised users only" There is also a sign marked "Toll Payable". Don't worry about this, if asked just say you're coming to visit Jon Allison. It looks like this:
The above two pictures show the access road as you see it on approach.
And these two show the continuation of the lane and the sign into Boundary Bank.
DO NOT go onto the bypass here! Continue along this small lane running parallel to the bypas. You will pass some newly built units and I'm in the first of the older units on the first corner.
There is also direct access from the A590 Kendal bypass, but only southbound. If approaching from the motorway, ignore the Kendal south turning after the twin service stations, and carry on up the hill toward the Lakes. At the next large (Plumgarths) roundabout, go right round the roundabout and carry on back up the bypass in the opposite direction. Up the hill, under a footbridge, and after 1/4 mile you will see the private road sign off the bypass. Turn carefully in here and immediately swing a sharp left into the lane. Keep an eye out for the sign shown in picture above. DO NOT carry on to the right round the road off the bypass.
